Over Time became a band... over time. In 2008, "Steely Dave" Matheson decided that he would like to put together a full six-piece band with musicians he had met and jammed with over the years. Each musician has his own unique story.
Dave has been playing guitar, piano, drums, and flute for most of his life. His ability to define harmonies provides the band with direction as to "getting it right." His guitar provides the band's backbone electric sound. |
Justin "JJ" Moore has performed as a duet with Dave. With his fantastic ear for sound and his talent for hitting the sweet notes with no apparent effort, JJ is the perfect choice to sing lead on classic '50s and '60s ballads. |

Doug Parks, Drummer |

Next Kent Corson was asked to join the group as a vocalist. Kent can hit the bass notes as well as the high ones; he, JJ, and Dave provide strong vocals including tight three-part harmonies. |
The search then started for keyboards and bass guitar. Dave asked keyboard player Rob Shain to join the band. Rob's extensive classical experience as well as his Berklee training made him a natural choice to perform on keyboards the orchestral parts that are an integral part of the '50s, '60s, and '70s sound. |

Rick Williamson was asked to join because he shares the same passion for this music. He and Dave have known each other for over 20 years and, even though they've worked together in recording and songwriting, this is the first time playing together in a band. Rick is a veteran musician and has played in popular local bands since he was a teenager, and in addition to playing bass he also plays lead guitar and sings. |
